We all know that there have be many predictions of the end of the world. Many obviously deluded individuals have wasted their lives predicting doomsday scenarios that never eventuated. Now we have to face the bitter end once more. The Mayan calendar points to 2012 as potentially the absolute definitive expiry date. All that we know, all that we have created, all that thou hath loved will most possibly perish. The absolute …..end.....of everything.......[allegedly]. At the end, only the cardboard clad warriors stand in the way of the absolute implied finale. Stock up on canned beans, biochem suits, ammunition, torches and medikits as the theme for this years battle is APOCOLYPSE as 2012 will be the END OF THE WORLD...............possibly.

Boxwars 18 decor in construction!

This year, to fit in with our theme, we have constructed a desolate wasteland of crumbling buildings and crushed dreams. This will be a playground for our last moments of what was the most glorious Boxwars event ever witnessed by men. Prepare this Boxing day for the battle of your life and certain death.

Combat Suits:

Build the best costume you can from recycled cardboard to prepare for your final moments. All are welcome to participate. We’re looking for awesome ideas that can fit in with this theme….. Zombies hordes, Asteroids from outer space, Y2K version 2.13, a total nuclear winter after a twinkie disagreement, Alien invasion, Stephen Hawking punching a hole through the time space continuum?!? In the end it’s up to you.

Preparing your costume early is essential. As it’s not long until boxing day, there are many warriors that have already begun constructing their suits!

The warriors that come with the most creative suits are the most prized warriors on the fields of war. There are those that come to the hallowed turf of the Boxing day battlefield without protecting themselves with the limitless bounds of their imaginative creativity. These warriors are not known to last long in these extremities. Respect the unspoken law of cardboard building by coming in an outfit that is fitting of a true box warrior.

Location Date:

This years annual Boxing Day battle will start at 5.00pm sharp on Wednesday 26th December(Boxing Day public holiday) at Caulfield Park, Melbourne Australia. Getting there is easy, goto Caulfield Park at the Cnr of Balaclava Rd & Bambra Rd. (See below)
Warriors are advised to arrive at 4.00pm. This will give you ample time to prepare/show off your suit + sign the battle waivers and join the league of warriors.

Spectate:

Our warriors are the last line of defence against the end of the world. If this doesn't inspire us to cheer them on to their destiny......well it truly is the end of the world then isn’t it. Since it is the end, may as well have a picnic at Boxwars 18. There is plenty of grass to chill out on whilst the warriors prepare to blow you away with awesome. Kids are welcome, they’ll love boxwars. If you’ve bringing your wolfhound, remember to restrain the beast! at this point in time Boxwars is fit human's only.

Other stuff you should know:

All participants MUST report to the sign in table at the event before entering the battle
You are encouraged to obtain recycled cardboard for your suits (think about the environment before being destructive)
Materials for adhesive is strictly; tape, hot glue and liquid nails. NO zip ties, rivets, staples, etc. We also request you do not use tape over excessively
Please remember to take home all your rubbish from this event. Thankyou in advance.
Remember to respect the rules of the public park
Please note, participants must be over 18y.o+ to participate in this event. 15+ may participate with a legal guardians signature, this can be provided on the day.
